Brooks Was Here (The Pacific Has No Memory)
Brooks Was Here
Thomas Newman
A beautiful piece from “The Shawshank Redemption” film soundtrack.
Thomas Newman has been a favourite composer of mine ever since I first heard his work back in the late 1990’s. With many film soundtracks to his name he’s a composer with a truly beautiful musical signature.
I found the Shawshank “Brooks Was Here” scene particularly moving.
The loneliness and despair sadly not uncommon in today’s world.
Suicide is such a sad end to anyone’s life and incredibly difficult for their loved ones.
I’ve tried to express these thoughts through this production.
